Ha! I hear you. I've tried a bunch of bass overdrives, dirty boosters, etc., nice ones too. And after a year or so of searching and auditioning effects, I now have no overdrives or dirty boosters, but two fuzzes on my board.

Not the best fuzz out there but I got a good deal on an OctaFuzz in a trade. Not a whole lot of balls but it's the right kind of buzzy!

My search is far from over but it's a start.

I was the opposite. 3 years of fuzz hunting only to find I was really looking for an OD.
