Agent 00Funk: Not Just For Funkin' n' Synthin' (with a clip for your ears)

So, I recently acquired a Chunk Systems Agent 00Funk. I'd wanted to try one for a long time, then forgot about it and bought a bunch of other filters. Well, I recently remembered it, and things sort of shook out perfectly, so I now have one. I was prepared for funky slurps and synthy burps, but I wasn't prepared for how well it could cop a wah-like tone (I've never seen it mentioned). So, just to put a quick sample of it out there in that vein, I recorded a short, dumb song. The chain look-a sumfin like this: Dunlop Tortex 0.88 --> P Bass Jr. --> Agent 00Funk --> Tri Pie '70 --> Rusty Box --> Apogee --> Garage Band. The Agent makes its appearance about halfway in:
Well, my settings won't be exact for anyone else, due to how sensitive and interactive the knobs on this thing are, but as a general description, I have the Pitch pretty low (9:00 for my bass and playing), Smoothness in the middle of the smooth side (2:00ish for me), Sweep low (just a hair above 9:00 for me), and Squelch around the middle (about 10:30 for me). These settings keep it vocal, and prevent the filter from opening all the way up.

More accurately, your machine won't play Soundcloud. I just listened to the track, so the issue doesn't appear to be at the Soundcloud end.
Interesting. I'm going to have to try that out. Thanks for posting that clip!
