input? im looking for a solid overdrive pedal, something that can handle small amounts of gain, and then go to beastly distortion(not fuzz) if possible

The SFT gets way too mushy with the gain past noon, so I would say the Agro (not that I've tried the Agro yet). Check out the BB Preamp too!

The SFT, in my opinion, is only good at low levels of sag and harmonics--sounds both harsh and mushy past that--and it can't even get into distortion territory. The AGRO, on the other hand, ranges from pretty much clean to crazy roar, and does a great job across the range. Plus, the presence and contour help keep it intelligible even when pushed to crazy-high gain.

Agree with all the above, though I'd say that the BB doesn't get into what I'd call 'beastly' distortion...the Agro certainly does.
