Didn't see that anyone had posted that aguilar has a new demo vid of the filter twin (as well as the rest of their pedals).

As far as demos go, that one was pretty lame.

LET ME PLAY ALL THE NOTES I CAN REALLY REALLY FAST BUT ONLY USE THE SAME SETTING IN THE WHOLE DEMO.

The filter sounds okay. I don't know why they'd put the octave at the end of the chain like that, too. Or the Agro after the filter...

EDIT: That was RE: Part 2. Part 1 wasn't too bad. The filter sounds like a better Bassballs.

Oh, and let me talk over the music so you have a harder time hearing. Did the difference between the up and down sweep seem especially subtle to anyone else or was it just that the speed settings were too high along with the over busy playing and the running monologue?

the filter sounds really good, and the demo improves about halfway through.

the design is interesting and I'd be curious to see how the velocity curve idea plays out in terms of attack/decay. i'm leaning toward more feature-rich filters these days, but this one is compact and unlike SOME newish envelope filters for bass, it actually features a DOWN sweep - whodathunkit?

I liked this demo - The filter pedal looks pretty cool... the compressor and agro sounded like caca to me, however...

And don't the folks at Aguilar have access to a lav mic?

Good sound quality, and a good pedal demo, but the slap has to stop.

Sounds sick with the Octamizer.

I've been impressed with Aguilar's other pedals but this one just doesn't do it for me.

I want one. Coupled with an octaver I hear some cool synth possibilities

Yes, and that was the most disappointing part to me. Nothing about these videos fed my GAS at all, and I was really hoping for a cool and unique filter. Maybe we just need a better demo?

I'm digging the TLC and Octamizer. I'd like to try out this filter, but based on that video I'd be surprised if it knocked out any of my current filters.

I think this could still be a very interesting filter, it's just hard to tell from that video

I gotta say this, to my ears, I thought it sounded like ass. Not any of the individual pedals, but the mix, and probably the signal chain flow, just seemed all wrong. especially when the Agro was kicked in. Dog doo. The whole thing could've been much more impressive had the signal chain been modified, and less extreme settings on the pedals used. Just my opinion, of course.

Well......I'm glad you like the individual pedals! I agree that I probably should have put the octamizer first, that would have been a better order. The main thing was to show off the newest pedal. We thought it would be fun to turn everything on at some point.

I think Aguilar has a great line of the essentials that's really well tailored to meet the needs of the average bass player. If I was playing more standard than my goofball aesthetic, I'd be happy to own the whole line. For what it's worth I thought that the filter has a lot of potential.

+1
The sound characteristics of this filter has got my attention...I think it may find a spot on my pedalboard. Does anyone know what the price may be?
