Aguilar Tone Hammer Power Supply

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

I am considering an Aguilar Tone Hammer, and am curious, can I use a 9 volt DC power supply to power the unit? I know the manual says 18v, so I am curious, can I use my 9v OneSpot adapter for it?

The one spot can supply max 1700 ma, and it says on the Aguilar website that the TH draws .3a (so would that be .6a at 9v?), and the only other devices I would use with the TH would be a boss TU3 and possible a VT bass.

Anyone using a TH with a 9v power supply?

Thanks

Better late than never...?

This won't run effectively (if at all) at 9V, so One Spot/Godlyke type units are no good. You'll need 2 9V batteries, an 18V adaptor, or a T-Rex/Voodoo type power supply.

Hope that helps. You probably worked it out yourself by now!

Anyone find an inline 18v transformer?? (cords out each end)

Godlike shows a multi-volt transformer for use with it's powerall, but it doesn't look released yet.

Edit: any reason one couldn't use two battery clip adapters with the one spot? A little tricky to get them into the unit, guess you could just take out the battery tray.
