It looks alot like the Bassballs pedal by EH, which has a similar twin filter, one going up and the other down. Of course, being made by aguilar, the quality should be much greater than the EH pedal, which has an unconventional, and irritating power jack. Love the bassballs though, one of the coolest sounds you can get for $70.

That's what I was thinking but there are no soundclips so I am not sure.

they fixed that power jack issue a while ago, when they introduced the nano

much as i've wanted to like it, I never found a "practical" use for the bassballs

Does the Bassballs have one filter that goes up and one down? I thought that they both went up, but at different frequencies or something. Am I wrong?

Hmm, color me interested. Being able to set different attacks for each filter is an attractive feature.

Ah, I have the old one with the old power jack. Also, the only used I have ever found for this is for soloing. It helps you punchy through the mix like nothing else, even on its mellowest settings, you will be heard! To me its usefulness is like that of a phasar, envelope filter, chorus pedal, flange or any other tone modifying effect. It adds a cool flavor when you get your moment in the sun.

In general I have little use for any effects outside of overdrive or compression but this one has such a cool sound that I can't sell it.

My Jedi powers sense that Aguilar foresees full, versatile boards containing Aguilar pedals only in a near future.

That is a pedal board I could believe in. I have always been impressed with Aguilar's quality for every product I have every used. Sign me up! (and give me the money to buy it)

The bassballs is really great though! I would love to A/B it with the Aggie pedal, but for the money, the EH pedal is so cool.

Man, Aguilar really hit the ground running with these pedals. It seems they chose a great new direction to go in. Well done Aguilar!
