Power should hopefully be an irrelevant issue in this case. To be safe, power it from one of the higher-current outputs (5 or 6). Don't flip the DIP switch, though - leave it on normal.

IME, it simply isn't great at tracking. Not horrible at it, but not great. A hot signal certainly helps, though!

And just to be clear... by "low volumes", you mean turning down the volume on your bass? Because if so, that's definitely a huge problem for a pedal that's sensitive to input. But if you mean the volume on your amp... then that makes no sense.

You're decreasing the level of signal into a pedal that needs a strong signal, and you're wondering why it won't track?

Make sure that you've got the "Input" knob set correctly. The yellow light next to that knob should be flashing consistently while you are playing.

yeah it was the volume on the bass I had to crank. the imput and output volumes were turned up too. I'm wondering if a boost pedal would help. it was weird. once I pressed the off switch I noticed a drop in volume. when I turned it on no effects came through. it took a lot of fiddling with the knobs and turning the bass vol. up to get the effects
