| Power should hopefully be an irrelevant issue in this case. To be safe, power it from one of the higher-current outputs (5 or 6). Don't flip the DIP switch, though - leave it on normal.
IME, it simply isn't great at tracking. Not horrible at it, but not great. A hot signal certainly helps, though!
And just to be clear... by "low volumes", you mean turning down the volume on your bass? Because if so, that's definitely a huge problem for a pedal that's sensitive to input. But if you mean the volume on your amp... then that makes no sense.
