E2 recording time is twice that of the E1. About the same otherwise I think.

E2 is said to be less noisy (note that I have no experience with the E1 to back this up)
E2 allows you to switch modes (normal/tape/looper) by pressing both footswitches at once which the E1 doesn't
E2 is a pretty blue colour
AFAIK the recording time doesn't differ.

Both are cool and both are real-estate hogs. But so worth it. If you're a technophobe who wants to get into looping, the headrush is as simple as it gets. And it's a nice delay.

Ok, you made me look it up and refresh my vague memory - and we were both wrong!

Normal delay mode time is the same, but the E2 has an "extended" mode for the looping recorder which takes it from the E1 equivalent of 23.8 seconds to 35.6 seconds. Because it uses half the buffer to create overdubs, the maximum time for overdubbed loops is half that - 17.8 seconds - which is near-as-damn-it to 6 seconds longer than the E1.

Aha!
Just as well I covered myself by saying "AFAIK" eh?

The other things I said are true though!
