hello there!
i play fingerstyle for the first segment and pickstyle for the second. each segment starts with an example of the clean tone. the Alien Hate Fuzz (this version, at least) only has one knob, labeled "HATRED." it's Fuzz and Volume all in one. i recorded the clip with the bass's volume dimed for the first riff, then i decreased it for each subsequent riff (the pickstyle segment is done the same way). you'll notice that the character changes quite nicely depending on your instrument's volume.
68 jazz - Alien Hate Fuzz - M-Audio Profire 610.
let me know what you think, and let me know if you'd like to hear something i didn't cover in the clip.

I'd also love to hear clips of the Black Hole Generator, which randomly goes from an octave up and an octave down.

I wondered what that Hatred was on your board.
The piece around 2:20 on is tasty too.
Can we hear it with your Stingray to get an idea if it plays nicely with an Active Bass?

Sounds like a Fuzz Face clone to me with a twist so you only have one knob. |

What I'm guessing they did was set the fuzz amount internally (instead of allowing you to change it) and then just use the volume as the only knob. They must have figured that Fuzz Face like pedals sound best when the fuzz is cranked. |

I found some clip on Youtube but it had two knobs. |
