Alternative to a Digitech Talker pedal?

I'm looking for something that will allow me to scat along with my bass soloing. Kinda like an Oteil Burbridge on training wheels. Any suggestions?

You don't need a vocoder pedal for that, just a mic, a bass and practice.

Scatting indeed just takes practice, especially in knowing what your finger placement is going to produce in pitch.

If you're looking for talkbox sounds, though, the Digitech Talker technology is now part of the GNX series, and can be bought for less than a Talker. I believe that TC Electronic's Voice Synth also has a decent vocoder in it.

LOL, I'm up practicing 4am at the latest b4 work. I'm not one of those musicians that doesn't want to do what needs to be done to play at a high level. I know plenty of those guys, I'm not in that camp.

Thanks Explorer. I'm a sax player first and I'm new to the pedal game.
