Alternative to a Third Hand?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like to be able to sweep the delay time on one of my pedals with my feet, but I can't seem to find a Third Hand for sale anywhere. Also, I remember them being a bit pricy. Are there any alternatives out there? (Preferably cheaper).

Well I figured it out once, but you have to do some soldering.

You put a two way switch in the pedal. One way would be the pot like normal. The other way you flip it will go to a stereo jack. You plug an expression pedal into the jack and there you go.

I put my carbon copy sideways and roll my foot along on the knob to control oscillation whilst playing.

I thought about that, but it's a Boss DD-3, and the time knob is between two others.

THere's also the Option Knob, I suppose.....

It's one of the reasons I like multieffects. You can control any parameter with an expression pedal.

I've used an Option knob http://www.optionknob.com/buy_now.html on the feedback knob of a DL-8. It worked very well for me. It doesn't have the fluidity or nuance of an expression pedal but for rough adjustments it's great and cheap.
