Am I insane? accoustic guitar processor...

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I was digging some crap out of an old closet and voila, I found an old Toneworks G2, Accoustic Guitar Processor. It's from like 95 and it had it's power adapter. "Ok" i said, "let's give it a try", for it has a little chorus to play with, on board tuner with mute function, some delays (over wich you cannot change the time, only some degree of feedback) and a "12 string simulator" wich is nothing more than a very freaky octave up effect.

I plugged the bass into the thing, and it was so natural sounding, and it was so claverly desingned, that I loved it. The chorus and the tuner, especially, has taken me by surprise in terms of overall usability.

Now I threw it in between my TS9 and a cheap Behringer BDI21, the latter at the end of the chain to give an overall tonal "colour" to all the crap before it.

Call me insane, but I think I love the old junk.

Korg eally made some great multi-effect units back then...

anyone else had tried guitar multi fx on bass?
anyone else owns, has, has seen a Korg toneworks G2?

just wanting to know

Am I insane?

"Am I insane?"

Don't know? Are you?

Just kidding. If it works . . . go with it. Just because the stuff is "old" doesn't mean it isn't any good.

I don't use any effects on bass, so my experience with effects is very limited. Hey if you like the sound . . . . then that's Okay.
