Maybe a dumb question or so, but...
Can you, as a European, just order pedals in America and plug European adapters in them? Since the power supplies of televisions, computers and stuff are different, does this also count for pedals?
And vice versa. Can any American just order a European pedal to plug and play?

And vice versa. Can any American just order a European pedal to plug and play? | It really depends. Most pedals just run off 9v power supply. 9v is 9v, wherever you are in the world (I think  ). It's the adaptor you use that's the key. If a pedal comes with a specific adaptor then you will need a converter.
I've never had any problems.

The only exceptions are those that require specific power supplys so the manufacturers puts a different size barrel on there to discourage people trying to power it differently (Digitech Whammy immediately springs to mind).
