I very interested in the Analog Man chorus, maybe the mini chorus. I only hear the analog man with guitar, and the sound amazed me. How work this pedal with elbass? Did you tried or do you have one? Please share your impressions.
Thanks, |

Barcza, the Analogman choruses are VERY popular here. You can find lots of discussion on them, and there are clips of the standards and the mini here.
The only thing I don't like about it is the price, but if chorus is your thing, it's probably worth it. |

Alas, mine doesn't have the deep switch but regardless, it's epic. |

I don't have an experience with the chorus without the bass mod. Maybe it's not bassy at all. I do have experience with the EHX Stereo Clone Theory. This one loses some bass and I was ready to get rid of it. Over time I've actually grown to like it a little more than the AnalogMan though. Plus, it's a lot cheaper. |

The deep position is the only position that sounds good on bass IMO. The other two sound really trebly, and are only good for guitar, or pumping an octave up through.
I couldn't get into the Clone Theory. It sounds amazing on guitar, but I tried one in the store once using my gear, and the noise floor was surprisingly high. |

That was another reason I was ready to get rid of it. I even asked AnalogMan if they could mod the pedal. But no luck because it has "surface mounted components." I think that's the term they used.
Anway, I've learned to get past the noise and actually like the pedal much better than before. |

I prefer the clips of the standard chorus than the mini clips! The mini sounds different or just perhaps the setup was different? Analog Man has any noise? |

If you're only using the chorus with a bass, you can get away with the fixed deep setting (IIRC it's no extra charge). If you're going to be using it with a g****r as well, you'd probably want the depth switch like I have. |

Mostly I like a "8 string" bass like effect, but I don't use fast "rotary speaker" like chorus. Most important thing is: I really don't like when a pedal boosting or lowering the gain of my signal. |

One chorus that jumps out that did boost the signal was the Guyatone micro...I thought it was really good sounding chorus, but couldn't get past the volume spike. |
