Analog pitch shifters?

Sign in to disble this ad
until i can track down an MXR pitch transposer, i'm looking for analog pitch shifting options, any ideas or mods? i currently use a PS5 and have grown very attached to the expression pedal sweeps. that'll be hard to let go of, but i do find it sounding a little too cold for my taste. i'd be willing to let it go if a warmer, more vintage sounding model existed. i even dig the glitches that come with shifting, so tracking that isn't 100% isn't a deterrent for me. ideally, a rack mount would suit me best, i'm sick of tripping over my board.

Thats a hard one, since pitch shifting itself is hard to do with analog technology. These days, commercial guys are going to go digital with ease of implementation and cost.

I have gone down this road a few times, and the simple fact is that the blue face MXR Pitch Transposer is about the only real choice for full-range pitch shifting in the analog realm. There are a number of other options if you just want to stick with octaves though.
