All the Analogman choruses work at 9v, 12v and 18v. Anybody notice any real difference between operating them at these various voltage options? If so, what are they? Mine has a "Deep Toggle" FWIW.
Let's keep this on topic and informative for us and those who ask the same question down-the-road...... Please respond ONLY if you have actually experimented with the different voltages......Thanks!

Higher voltage will give more clean headroom before distortion, more clarity, and maybe a little deeper chorusing. It is especially beneficial if you run a hot (loud) or distorted signal.
| This is my experience, especially when running my Acacia with 18v EMG's. |

| currently with 12V, because 18V is powering the preamp.

The Analogman Mini Chorus w/deep setting is on my wish list and I intend to run it from a PP2+ (also on my wish list) at 14.5v, which as mentioned, is the optimum (or close enough) recommended voltage.
Hope that helps.

Per aNaLoG MaN, "15-16 volts is the optimal voltage."
I do like the workaround on the PP2+, though. Very clever! |

| | I'm Really a Drummer | | Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: Rock City, TN | | | I finally got my BBE Supa Charger hooked up and I've been running the AM Mini Chorus at 16 volts. With a passive P-Bass, headroom isn't much of an issue, but I can tell a subtle difference in tone.
Unfortunately I've only got my practice amp at the moment, so it's hard to hear much. Once the Ampeg B-100R comes back from the shop, I'll crank it up and see how the pedal sounds. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
