Analogman chorus creates a volume boost

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, all!
I just bought Analogman mini chorus with fixed deep mode and mix knob. I noticed that it boosts volume when switched on, especially with an active bass. Has anybody ever experienced such a problem? The volume boost occures especially in the lower register of the bass (A and E strings).

My standard Chorus w/ fixed deep option has no volume boost or drop. I would contact Analogman - there customer support is outstanding!

Thanks for reply. I have already contacted them. AnalogMike recommended me to try the pedal with battery power with no other effects engaged, just straight to the combo. Also he recommended me to try it with a higher voltage power supply. I used the 18V out of my DC-Brick. But nothing helps: the volume boost still exists.

I run mine w/ a 1 spot 9V DC adapter and have no problems. You should be able to use a 9 - 18 voltage power supply or the battery without any volume boost. I hope everything works out

mine seems to boost the low end a bit. i think theres a trim pot inside to blend the dry/wet, yours is prob like mine, set all the way wet. back it off a hair and enjoy.

Mine has a dry/mix knob and, of course, I tried every combination I could before I started this thread. Volume boost occures even if you make a 10% dry/90% wet mix (mix knob set at minimum). I found out that my mini chorus has just a slight boost in volume with my passive J-bass, but it raises volume much more when I play my active Yamaha TRBJP through it.
