Angleing something on an FX board?

Im currently thinking of how to rearange stuff on my board-to-be and basically I hope to have the following arrangement in one section of it:

The outputs of the mixer and in/outs of the ABY are all facing the PP2+ in that "pic".

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to use as "ramps" underneath the mixer/aby so that I can more easily direct the cables going in/out of them over the PP2+.

I've looked into case mouldings and found one cross section that might work....

Oh, and i'd basically be stapleing velcro to the ramp to hold both the pedals and the ramp to the board

Wait, so you're looking for a way to make something like this fit under a board?
Or a way to make the bottom two pedals angled up slightly over the PP2+?

Hmmm... after re-reading your post, you're looking for a board that has an angled front shelf that drops off and starts a new angled rear shelf?
Something like this maybe?

Why not just get a pedaltrain and mount the PP2+ underneath?

I could. I have a certain love for NYCs tho, and will prolly be getting on for the fuzz side of my plan at least.

Even if I got a PT and mounted the PP2+ beneath it I would still need something to prop up the ABY at least, so the cords could go over the mixer.

1 question, if I mounted the PP2+ underneath a PT-[whatever], would I still have access to the courtesy plug?

Yes, that's what one of the circular cut-outs is for.

not to be difficult, but since the power input and curt plug on the PP are on the same side of the unit, do the circular cutouts match those?

They wouldn't be of much use if they didn't

Why do you need the A/B/Y cables to go specifically over the mixer? If you need to route the cables of both elsewhere, couldn't you just mount both pedals along the edges of the board? Cutting and routing custom cables is usually easier than trying to route pedals by raising/lowering them.

Well the Mixer would have to be above the ABY, since that would be the best use of space, if I didn't have the PP2+ there. Also I would need to stomp on the ABY occasionally as my plan involves using it as a mute of sorts. The jacks are on the top of the ABY and I want space to plug/unplug cables into it without fighting with the Mixer.

Custom cables really wouldn't solve the problem IMHO.

Make a routing box with dedicated out jacks that you wire the A/B/Y and Mixer to. That way you can have that on the edge of the board where you can plug and unplug cables without having to make a board custom. Unless that's your thing.

What if you just taped a wedge or riser to the bottom of the pedal? I have a parallel looper where the 90 degree jacks coming out the top don't quite fit when the pedal is mounted flush to the board, so I taped a riser to the bottom of the pedal. Just took the base off the pedal, taped around the bottom with packing tape sticky side out. Taped around the tape sticky side in. Then taped the base to the riser, screwed the base back on and applied velcro. Seems like you could just cut some wedges out of 2x4 and velcro them on to any old pedalboard that way without getting your head and pocketbook kicked in spending money on something uber-custom.

Unless you're into that sorta thing.

Here's a pic. I didn't work very hard to make it pretty, just wrapped a piece of scrap 1x4 with duct tape and stuck it on, but it works and holds like a dream.

I could I guess, but im also guessing that the material costs for the jacks/wire/enclosure would prolly cost more than just making something that's angled.

2 1/2x9/16 case moulding would cost 10$ for 7 feet of it. Im gonna check that out soon I hope, but other suggestions are more than welcome

YES! I would love it if I could just buy the wedge premade tho.

Oh, and it needs to be ableto withstand stomping on the ABY.
