I'm currently using the EHX SEM for a my chorus duties. This is my third one after seeling the other 2 and i'm liking it more this time but think its flanging is where it excels.
I had a line 6 lowdown amp and recently played the floor pod (Same just in a pedal) and really like the chorus effect there. It says its modelled on the TC Electronic chorus so this is the sound i want.
I can only find the TC Electronic SCF and not a single chorus unit (Or am i missing something?) but its quite spendy and wondered whether i had any cheaper options for a similar sound?
TC ELectronic G Sharp has some TC chorus sounds plus a bunch of others.
It definitly what i want sound wise i've just not managed to nail it in pedal form yet.
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance | The SCF is the model it will be modelled on, one option would be the Line 6 Space Chorus, pretty much all the fx are the same across the whole range they just package them as multi's, all in ones and singles
The Space Chorus is very cheap to pickup

It just happens to have a flanger built into it.

Get the Maxon and you're done with chorus pedals.
However I think the op is looking for a different chorus sound. It looks like the OP wants a chorus in the vein of the old Boss DC-2 or DC-3, more of a space-filling chorus than a thinck lucsh chorus. Is this this right or is it more of a traditional sound?

Not Small clone like | What I thought.
You are essentially looking for the sound from the old Roland SDD-320 Dimension D or the DyTronics/SongBird TriChorus.
This effect was later put into the Boss DC-2 and DC-3. Both of these are long discontinued and can get expensive on the bay. The Line 6 is a copy of this sound effect if I'm understanding you right from the description. DC-2 DC-3
Not a lot of pedals have this effect that I can think of. The Boss CE-20, the Nova Modulator, Line 6 Space chorus, Behringer CHORUS SPACE-C CC300, Behringer CHORUS SPACE-D CD400 are the ones that come up in a quick search. The Digitech Hardwire most likely has the effect and the Evevtide Modfactor probably has this effect, but I'm not sure.

thanks for the replies | If you have a chance, check out the Behringer CC300. Yeah its Behringer, but it supposedly sounds identical to the DC-2 which is the hold grail for these type of sounds.
