Another Enigma question for Q-balls owners...

...got mine today. Love it. Going to take the place of my Q-tron (and take up a lot less room on the pedalboard too!)

My only issue is the Overload Light. Now I know that's kind of a misnomer. On the Q-tron it's supposed to light up when the filter is engaged.

I've yet to light up the Overload Light on the Q-balls with normal playing. My signal is pretty hot (Ernie Ball Stingray HH), but unless I thump the E-string, hard, the light stays off.

For anyone that owns the Q-Balls, does your LED light up pretty regularly? The only reason I'm asking is to make sure my filter is working correctly. I know there were some QC issues with the first batch.

With no boost going into it, the overload light doesn't come on much, only when I dig in (and that's on my super hot EB/MM Bongo and my ultra hot Schecter Stiletto with swapped pups). It would probably be very difficult to light if up with a passive. It's bound to come on when you kick on the distortion unless you adjust the internal trim.

I keep my overload light on nearly all the time for the sound I want. Passive P bass. YOu can adjust it with the sensitivity.

I have to keep the sensitivity at 9 oclock or this thing clips, especially with my guitarist Lakland. My Warwick I can get away with 11. I don't think you need to worry about it as long as it sounds good.

Q-balls as Low pass filter?

Just curious, with low pass mode, can you adjust settings to act primarily as a low pass filter?

Yeah, all you need to do is set the start & stop times at the same point and you won't have a sweep, so instant static LPF.
