BTW, how did the fuzz factory work for you? I've heard it losses too much low end to be usable in a band setting, is it true? |

Nature of the beast, and you will never be happy with even the best of them. |

bongo what overdrives are you recommending?? this beastly nature you speak of is the problem im having! i dont mind if they are overdrives as long as it dirts me up but the notes are still audible |

I get enough distortion from my FUZZrite, my Gonkulator, and the pedals I throw together when I get bored .

I've heard some people play chords and double stops through this and on a mild setting it seems to come out quite clearly, although you've tried a few big muffs so maybe this isn't the pedal for you. Can't wait for my musket to arrive

Note that I'm only calling the Zeibek and the RL clones "articulate" at their lower drive settings. |

However, I will say that I have a Wounded Paw Battering Ram, and it's a freaking beast. http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=150
Between the overdrive and the ability to add the extra fuzz oomph on top of it, it offers some serious versatility, and I dig the fuzz. It can produce sounds pretty much across the chart, from just the slightest fuzz to swarm-of-wasps-type fuzz (if you get my meaning).
Anyway, it's pretty pricey, but it doesn't seem like you're hesitant to invest money into finding this holy grail of a pedal that you're searching for... Although, again, if you've tried that many pedals and you still are looking it might be wise to consider the fact that you might be searching for something in the wrong place or searching for the wrong thing (read: effect)...? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
