Another how do i get this sound (distortion?)

ok dont shoot me for this but here we go.
I like the black keys and i want to make my bass to have the heavy distortion/fuzz he has on his g****r.

first of all, I wouldn't really call that a heavy distortion... it's a tube amp right on the verge of breakup.

well i was checking out the wiki and it says he uses like alot of different fuzz pedals.

That opening is just a tube amp. He turns on some kind of fuzz, but I'm a little fuzzed at the moment, so I'm having difficulty concentrating.

well i think i am just gonna get a fuzz finally. i have gone forever with out one but i think its time now.

Well, it worked for me.

To get something like that with bass, I think a pedal like the Octron or a Unibass and then stack it with a light fuzz or od and then some reverb

im afraid of reverb though. i think i would like it but what if it doesnt sound good. but yeah i figured it was a fuzz but now i dont think the bass muff would sound right

well i have never looked into reverb. where can i find some clips. the only verbs i know of dont have clips in the wiki.

Bass clips are going to be hard to find, so your best bet is to head down to your local shop and try a couple out.

On the other hand, reverb sounds like reverb, so if you listen to a guitar demo, you won't be too surprised.

lol your right. but i hate to get one and it sound digitally. thats the only thing i am worried about really.
