1. I thought you guys would get a kick out of this guy.

2. At 3.30 in, what kinda of distortion is that? It sounds like a mix of a clean blend dirt and maybe a little filter? the finger style part.

Sounds like a fuzz pedal to me, with a wah or some sort of filter towards the end of the solo.

The tremolo effect he gets with the bow and the fuzz is pretty sic. He started to really go off ala Cliff Burton there for a bit. Very nice.

Yeah. I watched that right after. Makes me want to pick up a 105Q again. And figure out how to play an electric with a bow. So sick.

So far, I've liked absolutely everything I've heard from him. Very underrated player!

Most depressing video ever. Made me realise just how much of a crappy bassist I am...

just been on Miles's site and you can d/L his album for free. I'm getting it now. Sweet playing and excellent use of effects (as well as being a killer singer).

gotta love fx on upright

Hate to go against the grain here, but I've never been a fan of the upright bass sound, and while I dig the novelty factor of effects in a DB context(and a Voodoo Child rave-up is always welcome 'round my ears-even if it goes in the Kashmir riff ), I don't think his stuff is for me.

But, you know, props to him for doing what he's doing. I'm sure he wouldn't dig my stuff, either.
