Only you can judge whether the BP will cut it. No, seriously, that is the bottom line. If you decide that the BP doesn't have the features or sound quality you want, then you need to figure out exactly what it is about the features or sound quality that needs improving. Then you need to figure out your budget. Simply asking for "something better" than the BP will get you responses at any price from $50 to $500, and no I'm not exaggerating.

So tell us the tone quality or features you're missing, and your budget, and we can help you out.

If you don't yet know what you're missing (understandable when you're just starting out) then the very best thing you can do is go to a store and try out some different pedals. All delay pedals work for bass IME.

If you live in a remote location with no store that has any delay pedals, then the next best thing is if you can post an MP3 or Youtube link to the sort of sound you're after, or at a bare minimum describe it in words.

If you use nothing but delay, you'll be much better with a separate pedal, especially since the BP200 isn't exactly great.

Banana hammock.

(It's an answer. I didn't bother to read the question, but I'm sure it answers a question that someone has asked at some point or another.)

The ME 50B is a multi effect. Lots and lots of stuff on there. Might be a good introduction into different things, but if you just want delay, maybe check out a dedicated delay or two and see what you think.

I'm confused, are you in the market for a new multi-effects unit or a dedicated delay pedal? If you're looking for a delay pedal only, and you like Boss products, they have a number of different delays.

Which features in a delay pedal are you looking for? Reverse delay? Tap tempo?

The Butler did it, candlestick, up the shnazz, very messy, lots of red tape in the bedroom, but it happened in the closet, by the stairs. The cook joined him, with a broom stick, from the garage, got her in the nostril, so sad.
