If you decide that the BP doesn't have the features or sound quality you want, then you need to figure out exactly what it is about the features or sound quality that needs improving. Then you need to figure out your budget. Simply asking for "something better" than the BP will get you responses at any price from $50 to $500, and no I'm not exaggerating.
So tell us the tone quality or features you're missing, and your budget, and we can help you out.
If you don't yet know what you're missing (understandable when you're just starting out) then the very best thing you can do is go to a store and try out some different pedals. All delay pedals work for bass IME.
If you live in a remote location with no store that has any delay pedals, then the next best thing is if you can post an MP3 or Youtube link to the sort of sound you're after, or at a bare minimum describe it in words. |

(It's an answer. I didn't bother to read the question, but I'm sure it answers a question that someone has asked at some point or another.) |

Which features in a delay pedal are you looking for? Reverse delay? Tap tempo? |

The cook joined him, with a broom stick, from the garage, got her in the nostril, so sad. |
