Any idea on how to go about either of these tones?

In this one I was thinking maybe an Ampeg of some sort? Although, in the Decline Of Western Civilization I saw a Marshall super-bass head with a J-bass hooked up to it. The only thing keeping me from thinking that's the thing is that the Decline was shot around 79-80 and this was recorded around 76-77.

Maybe a heavily overdriven SVT..?

Thanks.

no idea what they used, but cranked tube amps were definitely part of the equation.
