i bought a bass effects pedal a couple of weeks ago and im having a few problems with it. Its a electro harmonix steel leather. the problem seems to occour when i link it in the loop with my other pedals. As far as i can tell it works fine when linked up on its own. the problem is if i turn the pedal on using the 9v power supply that i have then the light stays on all the time but it switch switches it between off and broken/ very quiet crackly sound. if i dont have the power supply on i click the switch and the battery powers the light on my power supply and a couple of my other pedals. all my other pedals work perfectly and dont seem to be affected by it being in the loop. im sure there is something i am doing wrong and just wondered if anyone had any advice?? |

Do they all have their own 9V adapter? Are you plugging them all into the same power strip? Please make the distinction between power sources very clear. |

cheers nick. |

If it works then that means one of two things: the power jack on it is bad (i doubt cause you said it works by itself like that) or your cable isnt giving it truely enough power.
You may want to give it its own wall wart.

This sounds like the brick does not have isolated output. What is the name of your power source? |

Please run the Steel Leather off of its own power adapter or a battery. The battery will last a long time."
