Any issues using daisy-chain cables with isolated power sources like Voodoo PP2+?

Sign in to disble this ad
Was curious if anybody here has any problems/issues when they use a daisy chain to power multiple pedals when using an isolated power source like the Voodoo PP2+ or those from TRex, etc.

While I know its better to have one pedal per output are there any issues people have when using a daisy-chain cord to power several pedals from one of the isolated outputs? Obviously, it is cheaper to use a daisy chain than to buy more power supplies so each pedal has it's own separate output. In addition, in my situation I need to power my older ACA Boss pedals on a daisy chain with a more recent PSA pedal on it for it to work. I don't have any 12v outputs on my power source.

I'm familiar with mA limitations, requirements, etc. for each output (number of pedals that can be used with a daisy-chain on each separate output) and the unit itself so no need to go there.

nope. i do it all the time. as long as it's pedals that wouldn't have an issue being daisy chained normally, it seems to be the same as running a 1spot.

i do always try to put them on the heavy mA output, like the 5 or 6 on the PP2.

Nope, I'm running one right now to power 4 pedals and no problems at all! For whatever reason, none of my current hungry pedals like daisy chaining though.

That's the only potential issue, so I won't go there.
