ANY love for the Ashdown Compressor Pedal?

I'm very interested in the Ashdown Dual Band Compressor Pedal... I've done a number of searches and read 'BongoMania's' (semi-positive) review... there seems to be a lot of haters (mainly related to active basses and issues regarding quality control)...

Are there any TBers that are happily using the Ashdown Compressor Pedal... ?

I mainly play hardrock/metal... and I'm running (passive) Fender Jazz Basses into a Sadowsky Preamp and finally... amplification - GenzBenz GBE 600 into Ashdown 4x10 and 2x10...

I need a compressor to even out some of the spikes in my lows and raise/even the volume of my highs...

I have one and use it regularly. I like it a lot but I go for the transparent compression.
