Any love for the Pod X3 Live?

I'm currently working on developing an '80s pop project, and think I'll be needing a wider range of sounds (synth, overdriven, modern, slap?) than I've been getting with my SABDDI. Yes, I've searched, but haven't found anything on TB about the X3 Live. I'm attracted because of the combination of effects and models (natch), but also because of the vox processing, which I could definitely benefit from. Oh, and there are a couple available locally relatively cheap.

The catch: I believe you can biamp/crossover directly from the XT Live, but I can't find documentation that you can do that from the X3 Live. It's not a deal-killer, but it would let me eliminate one more piece of my signal chain.

Any insights would be appreciated, preferably not the "I've never used it, but digital modeling sucks" kind -- this would be just for live shows, and I don't believe the audience splits hairs the way some of us do, tonally speaking.

Thanks,

-jb

Yeah it has a "dual tone option" essentially you can blend two patches and run them at the same time, even through just one amp.

I am on tour right now with it. I am using it with GK cabs and a Behringer PA. It is pretty rugged and it works when I need it too. I will be selling the Power Amp that I am powering the bass cabinets with though. But I am definitely keeping the X3 in my bass tone arsenal for a while considering that it is an effects unit basically for everything.

Wha...? Man, I must be search-impaired. I'll look again.

I've seen that...

It's got stereo outputs, and I think the XT Live lets you crossover the output to those outputs, but I'll be derned if I can find anything about it in the manual.

Anyway, I just happened to find out today that my brother (the guitarista) has one he was planning to sell because he has a Line6 amp that has all the features he needs, so it looks like I'll be getting a pretty sweet deal on one after all.

Thanks,

-jb

Hi John,
Unfortunately that was one of the "bass " related features that was omitted from the X3. Also the ability to mix in direct sound with your patches is gone as well. The dual tone feature might be able to help in compensating this though.

I just got one the other day. I've seen the screen that allows you to blend the two tones together. In your case one could be clean the other would be effected and then you can totally blend them to your liking. I'm not sitting in front of it now but if you want, I could probably get a step by step in the next day or two.
