He recorded the album with a Warwick 5er, looks like a corvette. And if you look in the back ground at 2:07 you can see what looks like some Trace Elliot cabs.
That's prob a good start.

I definitely would recommend this preamp pedal. you can go with that or if you have the cash for it one of the tech 21 sansamp pedals. |

I'm not saying it will work, but that would be my first port of call if I were to try that sound

| | OVNIFX EXAR pedals rep for North & Central America | | Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: PDX, OR | | Whoah, you found one used? For $90? Seems unlikely, but if it's true, you should buy it right away just to resell. FWIW the Compressore is not super "tubey" sounding. The tube is a valuable part of its function and flavor, but it's nothing at all like the sound of a tube amp overdriving, which is what the other guy was recommending.
When you have a question about any one piece of gear, the very first thing you should do is pop it in the search function. It's only by very slim odds that I clicked into this thread, and that I bothered to read past the first few posts, and that I clicked on the GC link, and felt like responding. Always search first, and even if you don't find your exact answer right away, at least you will find threads that are actually on the subject. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
