Anybody check out the VB99?

I had one of the older VBass systems, with the older pup.
(Had to sell it for some emergency house repairs)
Regretted it ever since.

Anybody try out the new VB99?

Also, any bass manus make instruments with the Vbass hardware integrated?

Use the search function, there is a pretty good thread about the VB99.

I had one, it was cool. I just preferred some other stuff to using it. I had no use for bass or amp emulation. The synth voices were a bit limited for me, the other effects were pretty good but not as good as individual pedals. The tracking was pretty good.

I believe Godin makes basses that are able to plug right into the VB99.

Thanks Delta, first search I did didn't find that particular thread.Must have messed up the search parameters.
VERY informative thread. Lotta options, and things to think about. Here's a bump

My old Vbass system I used pretty much in the studio,
but with something more flexible and better tracking, I could use it live.

Worth mentioning the newer GR55 which, while it has less functionality than the VB99, appears to have improved tracking.

GR55 doesn't have improved tracking compared to the VB99, it is slower on the lower notes. There are tricks though, universal octave down and playing higher on the neck.

Nojj, I am sorry, there is longer GR55 thread.
Roland GR-55 ( GK Guitar / Bass Synth plus Cosm Effector )

There is a Roland V forum for more info.
