Anyone connect their FX together with coat hangers?

I realize this article is a tad old and causes a lot of arguments, but...

basically it said a few audiophiles can't tell the difference between monster cables and coat hangers. I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried this as a cheap way to connect their FX, because they are really cheap (compared to mogami and the like) and can be bent however you like them (say for cleaning up a pedalboard)

They used coat hangers to replace speaker cable, not shielded cable. Maybe it would work, but don't be ridiculous

it would be easy enough to pull off too. Solder the actual end of the coat hangers to 1/4 inch jacks, go mad with the electrical tape, and you're good to go. that would be one cool looking pedal board potentially too.
