i run a fairly noisy pedalboard, 6 Moogs, a HOG, and a PX Depth Charge, and i recently stumbled on the idea of using a Boss LS-2 Line Selector to turn my pedals on and off (in effect). has anyone else tried anything similar?

alyhough nowhere as extensive as what you have, I've used the Ibanez equivalent to keep noisy stuff out of the audio path until needed as well as to use a multi effect unit and be able to scroll through sounds without hearing noisy artifacts while the programs change.
Try it: I'm sure you'll find a way tu get what you are looking for

I keep all my 'foogers in some kind of loop, be it a TB strip or the LS-2, and have a very quite and clean signal chain... despite being 20 pedals long. Lots of people here doing the same

Half of the users in the Effects forum use bypass loopers of one kind or another. Browse through any of the "Post your pedalboard" threads and you'll see all manner of bypass boxes from Loooper, Loop-Master, Boss, Barge Concepts, Xotic, and many other companies being used.
