Worth? Moho Mods is one of about three million garage operations that offer mods to popular mass-manufactured pedals, as well as offering their own clones which are not much different in reality. They're not a bad company, but they are no different from all the other modders/cloners.

IMO you're better off learning how to do the mods yourself. There are several DIY pedal websites that offer that info, as well as at least one modder guy selling an e-book on the subject. If you just don't feel inclined to solder, then any one of those mod companies will give you pretty much identical results. You can determine the "worth" on that basis.

FWIW I do think most mass-manufactured pedals can be audibly improved with a few simple mods.

For the OP, that's 'Indyguitarist', and his pedal modding info is highly recommended. Back when I was a builder he sent me his ebook (this is going back several years) to look over, and everything was explained well and documented thoroughly.

If you learn to DIY even a few basic mods, it'll give you a better 'ear' for FX and some self-confidence in making changes and being able to do repairs. A BMP is a good choice to mess around with as they are cheap and readily available.

I appreciate the responses. I would love to try out doing the mods myself but I am getting ready to move from a house to an apartment and everything for the most part is packed.

I have a black russian muff right now that I use for more of an overdrive sound and not so much as distortion. I have the tone around 8 o'clock and the sustain up around 3 or 4, can't remember with out looking at it.
Would it be worth picking up the one with the mod? As in is there that much of a difference in tone?
I do also have an mxr blowtorch that I use for much heavier music for the gritty distortion.

Sorry this is getting so long... I am new to the mod world.

The guy who has it is looking for a trade with a boss chorus pedal, I happen to have a super chorus I don't need anymore.

Thanks again in advance guys!
