anyone know any CryBaby 535Q mods?

I'm ordering a CryBaby 535Q (Due to my dislike for a 105Q) and I was wondering, it keeps a lot of low end down, but is there any kind of mods to get a little more lower mids/lows into it, while keeping the highs?

Anything simple? A good site would be nice, but I don't want to do anything dangerous (Slamming the pedal into a counter to put something in, blah.) I have medium soldering skills.

A Wilson Qwah for bass is your answer.

The 535Q is like most guitar wahs, basically a variable band pass filter. And as is the nature of such a beast, there is no simple mod to make it retain the bottom end. If you want a wah that's going to retain your bottom, you're not going to be able to do it with the 535Q.

But the good news is the 535Q is a great sounding wah, if you found the 105Q to be too "funky", you'll probably like the sound.

You could always run a dry signal past the wah. When I use my effects, I have an A/B - Y box that keeps my original signal, then mixes it with the effect signal before it hits the amp. The result is my original (Low-mids) signal mixed with my distorted/filtered/phased/wahhed signal (High mids). You run it like this:

Bass ----- (A/B - Y Box) ----- Wah ---------Amp
...............................I-------Clean/Dry------I

This can be done several ways, but with a switch box, I can choose if I want to use either the dry signal, effect signal, or both at once.
