anyone tried the maxon ad-999 pro analog delay yet?

it has been spotted at namm, but as of now nothing came up.. description sounds interesting.

there´s been one confusion though - it´s not a tap tempo delay (I´ve yet to see a bbd delay with actual tap tempo), but a multi tap delay:

"The AD999 Pro features a new “Multi-Head” mode that is operated via three top-mounted mini switches. In Multi-Head Mode, midstream delay signals (which are taken from the middle of the BBD delay circuit) are added to the normal delay signal to emulate the sound of Tape Echo multi-head operation. These feedback loops can then be selected by the user in a variety of combinations to create complex multi-tap delay repeats and rhythmic delay effects such as triplet- and sixteenth-note rhythms against the main delay repeat. The Multi-Head mode can also create a striking Tape Echo simulation, or it can be used to create ambient effects such as large room and concert hall reverberation."

I have an older Maxon AD9 (non pro). Its great, when it works You can get it to oscillate like crazy, which I find cool, and it does its job very well.

what do you mean with "when it´s working"?

I have the AD-9, non pro. Currently it is not working, need to get it fixed... I hope it is not the IC. However, I would not suggest there is a quality issue with Maxon pedals; I got mine used, and although externally in good shape, I don't know what it went through, and I have another Maxon (D&S II) which has given me no problem.

I've tried the non-pro and had a lot of fun. I had to have it up on my lap to adjust while playing to get the best stuff out of it. I think the pro just adds multi-tap ping pong stuff which would be hard to control without tap tempo.
