Anyone tried the Maxon ROD 881 Real Overdrive/Distortion?

Sign in to disble this ad
It is one of Maxon's real tube series, has separate overdrive and distortion modes via a switch, has a footswitchable boost, bass, mid, treble, gain and master controls, and a 12AY7 powering it. Sells for $262 on Musicians Friend. I think it might be a contender with the English Muff'n, and the fact that it can function as a clean boost, overdrive, and distortion intrigues me.
