Anyone try Catalinbread SFT at 18v?

I'm impatient and can't find an 18v adaptor that is appropriate and clean. I can't get too many subtle tones out of my SFT and want to try the 18v for more headroom. But please forgive me if I'm thinking backwards on "more headroom": my thought is "more space so that signal won't clip as easily."
If that doesn't work, I might go back to a LTD; but the cheapest option would be an 18v adaptor if it works. Not to mention that the LTD can't go all crazy like the SFT.

I definitely noticed it was bassier and wider-sounding. I didn't compare the clipping at different voltages though. It just seemed more flexible overall at 18v

So, Ebennetts, what adaptor do you use? I saw a couple on Musiciansfriend, but do you have any recommendations?

I've been running my SFT with an 18V Dunlop ECB-04 with excellent results.

Still quiet, more headroom as promised.....great pedal.

I can confirm that SFT at 18V works better - more headroom, more dimensional sound and it can get grittier than at 9V.
