Anyone try the EBS valve drive tube preamp?

I'm thinking about getting this more from the standpoint of getting a bit of "tube grit & warmth" from a pre-amp, vs using it as a full on distortion pedal. Reviews seem to be pretty positive and (though its expensive) at $299 it's not ridiculous.

Any first hand experience with this pedal out there? Any other suggestions I should think about?

Personally i love mine and it will be going nowhere.

One big thing to keep in mind when first using it is that "Flat" is not with everything set on 12:00. Flat is Treble - 0 Mid - 100% Bass - 0
