Anyone try the Malekko Envelope Filter?

Sign in to disble this ad
It's one of their super-tiny omicron series. Here's a demo I found (my money is this was done by a TBer).

The Malekko site says it's based off of a classic filter -- the only classic two-knob filters I can think of are the DOD FX25 and 440. It sounds too subtle to be an FX25, but I've been wrong before. Any ideas? Anyone try it and compare to other filters?

Moar info plz.

Sounds a lot like an FX25 to me... and I'd guess that the sparkle green finish is a reference to that pedal...

IMO it's definitely not an FX25 clone. The sweep is way too polite. Sounds quite a bit like a 440 to me.

Yeah, that's my demo. I've since sold it.

It sounded almost exactly like the Boomstick Bottom Feeder I used to have which is (as far as I know) a 440 clone.

It's a great pedal but wasn't for me, I'm now using a Robot Factory Meatwad.

Too polite? *chuckle*

Based on the demo, it seems to do a good job on the cleaner bass sound without getting too crazy. The overdrive and fuzz stuff seemed to become a little less distinct.
