Anyone in the UK...

Sign in to disble this ad
...own a ProCo adaptor?

Or anything that fits into a Rat?

I'm having a really hard time finding one.

But I don't think I'll get much feedback, as a lot of you have power supplies etc.

Anyhoo, thanks in advance.

All you need is a regulated 9VDC adapter with a 1/8" (3.5mm) positive-tip plug; a lot of older EHX effects like the Small Clone use those plugs. They really aren't hard to find - they're more common than you think. You're looking too hard if you're trying to find an official ProCo adapter.

Or, you can just buy the 3.5mm adapter tip to snap on to any ordinary 9VDC adapter or daisy chain with the standard Boss-style barrel. Godlyke sells them, as well as Visual Sound (under the 1 Spot brand).

First I was someone's hero. Now I'm a savior.

Anyone sense a pattern here?

www.diago.co.uk make the best range of PSUs and adaptors in the UK IMHO.

UK 9v-100mA">Power supply for
Big Muff USA, Double Muff, Small Stone, Small Clone, Bass Balls, Pulsar, Octave Multiplexer, Mini Q-Tron

Doesn't say Rat in the description, but I'm sure that's the one as MysticBoo said the same one as a Small Clone.

And it's a good price too

Yep! If it powers those pedals, it'll power the RAT.

All of those pedals listed happen to be the older EHX pedals that use that weird 3.5mm jack, just like the RAT. All of the reissues and new pedals that EHX is making (Little Big Muff, Clone Theory, the new Multiplexer etc.) happen to use barrel plugs instead, usually the same as Boss.

I used to be in the UK... Moved to Australia

As for your power issues, an adaptor is an adaptor... Sure some are better than others, but for actually sticking it in a pedal and providing power, it doesn't matter if its branded for that pedal etc... Proco don't have a 'special' type of 9V... 9V = 9V

For your wireless, just look in the manual at what its power requirements are. Basically any adaptor that meets those power requirements will do. Easiest thing is to remember what it needs, go to your local electrical shop and ask for an adaptor to power 'xyz' power requirements...
