Was thinking of getting both, but I don't know how compatible they are. I always seem to read only about people who have one or the other.

Any thoughts?

I have both, but don't run them at the same time. TECH 21 recently responded to a thread about running both together. GREAT company!

I have both, never used them together, the VT Bass is for sale now... It makes me get lost in the mix and I've figured out that I need something nastier. I keep the BDDI because it's a DI box and it can be very useful sometimes.

I use the PBDDI as my direct box, with basically no overdrive (enough to make it a little warm). When I had the VT, I ran it into the front as an overdrive, and it worked great, but just wasn't the overdrive sound I was looking for. I now run a Leeds into the PBDDI and it's awesome.
