Question Anyone use their Sansamp BDDI with a Spector/Tonepump?

I've been having trouble getting a clean sound out of my Spector Euro LX, when running through my BDDI. I've tried everytyhing I can think of, or has so far beeen suggested - kept the bass and treble on the TonePump preamp at 0, the volume controls as low as possible, all other pedals out of the chain, all OD/tube circuits on my amp off, the drive setting on the Sansamp at 0, all to no avail. I recall reading about other people on these boards using the BDDI/Spector Tonepump combo, so do you guys have the same problem? Do you only use your Sansamp for any dirty sounds, and go without it for the rest?

I love the clean sound I can get out of the BDDI, with my passive bass, would me nice to able to tinker with it in clean mode, with my Spector.

just turn the blend all the way down if you dont want any distortion.

Or you could make adjustments to your bass instead - like turning down the volume a bit. Instant solution

Sounds like your Spector has a pretty hot output. You may also have the pickups raised too high as well - lowering them a bit may help.

This perfectly illustrates why I hate the Tonepump. My suggestion: put an EMG or Aguilar pre in there! Then it will sound awesome with a BDDI. THE perfect rock/metal tone.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Well, I've tried everything I can think of, and everything suggested to me, but for LifeIsBass' idea. Looks like I'll be giving an Aguilar pre a shot, I've good things about them when hooked up with Spectors

Bit of a shame really, I like the TonePump's general tone, there's just too much of it for my needs.
