I just got a Boss CS-3 in a trade and wondering if anyone is using/liking it for bass.
Not really interested in $ for modding. Wondering how anyone likes it, as is.
Thanks for any opinions.

Sold the EBS and bought another CS-3 (non modded). Realized that I really liked the CS-3 mostly for its sustain qualities. For compression, my amp head has a single-knob compressor that works well for me. Probably lost a few bucks along the way, but that kept me busy for awhile ....

In one song I use it in the intro to get some clearer attack and some extra sustain when I'm playing solo picking chords. I also use it as a limiter to drive my boost pedal into a slight overdrive without the huge volume boost.

The modded CS-3 had really good sustain. If I was using any other pedals in my setup, I would totally be using this as my compressor.
