anyone using EHX bass blogger?

I'm buying a new overdrive pedal (I just want a bit of vintage buzz). I don't want a pedal with tube because they are too expensive. I want something good and cheap! Bass blogger looks ok and I like the fact that it has fuzz too
I can't try it anywhere so what do you think?

It's ok, it's fuzz section is more like a distortion and it's overdrive is a little muddy for my taste you should try one out definitely because your going to get a lot of mixed reviews

Buy from a place that has a good return policy like Thomann, because you'll probably end up returning it.

Over the bass blogger I would recommend the EHX Bass Big Muff. The blogger is ok, but doesnt do OD or Fuzz particularly well, but the bass big muff is excellent for the price.

Not really a fan of either pedal. I did own a Bass Big Muff for a while, and it's blend option was pretty cool, I'd go for that over the Blogger any day.

I've used the Blogger quite a lot, I really like it's drive sound, almost sounds like a tamer superfuzz circuit. (Got no use for the fuzz part)(for fuzz there's TAFM, Attack Goat, blended Watson FY6 or DE Ruiner. What I like of the Blogger is 1. it's attack envelope...closest thing to a trombone/tuba envelope I've found. (I like that being a brass player) and 2. the low end boost in that attack. It really punches with lowend.
I never used it alone though.
Before a Dunlop Bass Blowtorch (torch on, full mid, switch in mid position, 50-50 blend, drive at 10 o'clock) the Blogger/Blowtorch gives a Great synth fuzz sound. That attack envelope of the Blogger does something great into other fuzzes with a blend. This was my 1st synthbass fuzz sound and the only reason I'm not using it is 1. Blowtorch needs it's own AC 18v., 2. the Bogger is not true pypass, it has a slight tone suck, and I've eliminated all effects that do that for my loud band rig. AT home and studio, lower volume, I still use it. I laugh whenever it's slagged, but I noticed there is more love for Blogger at basschat.ko.uk (but what do some Brits know about R&R or bass playing?)

Sorry for being blunt, I tried the Blogger and could not return it fast enough.
It's not a great sounding pedal.

If you are looking for a single pedal to take car of all your needs, a Pork Loin or a HBE Hematoma might be better bets. Try before you buy regardless.

I already thought about pork loin but it's a bit expensive. Maybe I'll try boos OD or something else with affordable price

The Blogger is one of my least favorite dirt pedals; the OD is murky and the "fuzz" sounded like a fart. Look used and you can find a Pork Loin, OCD, or other drive pedal for the price of a new Blogger.

Hey krstko, give Digitech Bad Monkey a try. It´s Tube Screamer clone. They are quite wide spread and super cheap. You can get a used one for circa 30-40 €. Search youtube for demos, there are few with bass. I think this pedal sounds great for the price...

I'm using the blogger and somehow I like it. The OD sounds kinda crappy and hardly like an OD, but I like the noisy buzz of the "fuzz".
Depending on what style you're playing, it can deliver some nice sawlike sounds.
