Anything else like the Barge VFB-X?

I really like the look of the Barge Concepts VFB-X. For those that don't know, it's both a true bypass and feedback loop pedal with expression control over both the blend and feedback amounts.

Problem is that they are discontinued and Barge Concepts seem to be extremely hard to get in contact with these days.

I know that expression controlled blend is a must. Feedback expression isn't vital but I think it'd just be super cool for filthy noise making.

So... is there anyone else out there that is building these as a stock model or would you recommend anyone in particular for a really good custom build?

Barge offer expression control and phase inversion options on the much smaller VB-Jr. So I'd go with that... Or Wounded Paw make a blender in a wah enclosure, as do Morley.

If you want that exact discontinued pedal but with even more features (e.g. an impedance control so that it works well with fuzzes) then Barge do custom work - but if you're having trouble getting hold of them that's not good... Wounded Paw would also be able to do customised stuff though so try there.
