Apart from Pino on Paul Young's Tear Your Playhouse Down where else can I hear and octave pedal in action?

Tim Commerford from Rage Against the Machine uses and octave pedal. However, I don't know if this is the best example because it is usually coupled with some sort of distortion. The bridge on No Shelter for example.

Earth Song by Michael Jackson.
And, if I'm not mistaken, Like a Prayer by Madonna.
Fight for your Mind by Ben Harper.

Tim Lefebvre uses it a lot with Wayne Krantz and Rudder.

Sorry mate but that was a compressor used as an effect not an octaver.

It's both. The octaver tone is very apparent.

Fretless played with a pick and with pedal compression and additional compression added in mixing.
