Has anyone used a Apex 204, and if so what do you think about it. I was just told about it and they thought it my be a easier way for me to go than getting a new head.

Very Hifi sound, but the sound man didn't like very much (very rock oriented guy). I miss it some times, it is million times better than the floor unit!

Ap hex, not Apex. And what are you hoping to achieve with it? Basically it's like a mid-scoop EQ that makes highs and lows more prominent. This gives the impression of more depth and more clarity, from amps that lack those qualities. If that's what you want, then great, go for it. Otherwise, what were you hoping for? |

I have mine in a rack setup which includes a BBE Maxcom compressor (sonic max is turned off) and my GK 2001RBP. That's a great sounding rack that I run through one of a few different power amps I own.

I know if I want Mesa get mesa, but I was wondering, because someone suggested it my help without me buying a new head.

I would really have to wonder about whoever recommended it to you for that purpose. Instead, look at the Tech21 "Sansamp" and "Character" product lines, and the Catalinbread SFT. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
