Aphex Punch Factory trouble.

Sign in to disble this ad
First i'll say that i have checket bongomanias reviews and found nothing.

Secondly i was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on how to use this unit well.
I have a hard time understanding why the volume goes up when i
turn up the compression("drive").
Another thing is that in the manual it says that if you are using an active bass you should push the active switch put still use your normal input on your amp. Wouldnt this lower your signal twice?
When i push in the active switch signal is really lowered and i can hardly get any volume from my amp even when i plug into passive. The only time i almost get it to work is if i have the pedal on passive and the amp on active.
Any input would help
Thanks, Sean

when i had mine i had the drive set at around 3 and the level around 10, with the active switch engaged on the comp but not the amp.

if you use an active bass without the pad on the compressor, it will sound REALLY squashed at any level. at least that's what i remember. i definitely preferred using the pad on the compressor. dunno if this is helpful but it's what i did.

the pad stays engaged even when the pedal isn't i think. it's a separate part of the circuity, IIRC
