| | | | Artec Makes the Only TBP Bass Graphic EQ?

I want to run a graphic EQ before my Woolly Mammoth clone, but I can definitely tell the difference in the pedal's tone when there's a buffered pedal in front of it. I'm thinking that this is my only option.

Alternatively, send an email to aziltz@gmail.com and he'll make you a graphic EQ voiced for bass. He's a great guy, he's currently building a pedal for me.

| | | | He charges about $145 for a 10-band EQ. I'm not sure ditching the Artec name is worth 100 bucks.

I was simply answering your question saying that Artec isn't the only company making a TBP EQ. Also, in my opinion, $145 is pretty reasonable for a hand made graphic EQ, it's like $25 more than MXR...

| | | | If the eq is on it will still act like a buffer. You can only use it with the mammoth when it's bypassed so you could just put the eq behind the mammoth (I believe). |

| | | | Haha you are completely right. I guess I'll abandon that idea and stick with my trusty GEB-7. Just for the record, Aguilar Octamizer -> Woolly Mammoth is AWESOME.

I've been using it in front of my Summit TD-100 lately, to add a touch more gain and keep the TD's tube toasty during practice sessions.
Tuner is a nice plus as well, if you have some patience for it to sense the B. Hasn't really been a big issue though.
Nicely built and functional. I like it too.

I'm working on a 5-Band PARAMETRIC Eq, that I should start to offer publicly in January.
thanks,

I'm actually really excited about getting it! I've not been this excited about a pedal since, well forever actually .
