Artec Makes the Only TBP Bass Graphic EQ?

I want to run a graphic EQ before my Woolly Mammoth clone, but I can definitely tell the difference in the pedal's tone when there's a buffered pedal in front of it. I'm thinking that this is my only option.

The MXR 10 Band will effect frequencies even lower than the Artec (31.25Hz) and it can offer more cut/boost.

Alternatively, send an email to aziltz@gmail.com and he'll make you a graphic EQ voiced for bass. He's a great guy, he's currently building a pedal for me.

He charges about $145 for a 10-band EQ. I'm not sure ditching the Artec name is worth 100 bucks.

I'm not suggesting you should get something else just because of the name 'Artec' branded on the pedal. I was simply answering your question saying that Artec isn't the only company making a TBP EQ. Also, in my opinion, $145 is pretty reasonable for a hand made graphic EQ, it's like $25 more than MXR...

If the eq is on it will still act like a buffer. You can only use it with the mammoth when it's bypassed so you could just put the eq behind the mammoth (I believe).

Haha you are completely right. I guess I'll abandon that idea and stick with my trusty GEB-7. Just for the record, Aguilar Octamizer -> Woolly Mammoth is AWESOME.

Artec SE-BEQ

I've got it now and it's a slick little unit - fairly quiet too.

I've been using it in front of my Summit TD-100 lately, to add a touch more gain and keep the TD's tube toasty during practice sessions.

Tuner is a nice plus as well, if you have some patience for it to sense the B. Hasn't really been a big issue though.

Nicely built and functional. I like it too.

I'm actually not able to build Graphic Eq's right now. Can't get the special parts from the supplier.

I'm working on a 5-Band PARAMETRIC Eq, that I should start to offer publicly in January.

thanks,

-Austin

Sounds good Austin. When I've got the first one, I'll post a review up here for all to see .

I'm actually really excited about getting it! I've not been this excited about a pedal since, well forever actually .
